Jack Johnson Surfs into Cricket Wireless October 10

Award winning singer and songwriter Jack Johnson will be spending summer and early fall touring to promote his fifth studio set, “To the Sea”.

The tour will kick off in Hartford, CT on July 9 and will have the artist going back and forth to the US and Canada throughout July, August and early October with a two-nighter in Santa Barbara on October 13 and 14 to wrap up the tour.

As Johnson hits the homestretch of the tour in mid-October, he will be stopping by the Cricket Wireless Pavilion in Phoenix on October 10, Sunday at 7 PM. Tickets will be available to the public on April 10, Saturday at 10 AM MST through Ticketmaster. A radio presale event will be held on April 6, Tuesday at 10 AM MST for advance tickets.

Ticket prices are $35 for general admission and $55 for premium and near stage seats.

The artist will be donating all ticket revenues from the entire tour to the non-profit organization All at Once, which is also spearheaded by the artist.

“To the Sea” is slated for a June 1 release. The track “You and Your Heart” will premiere in radio stations nationwide in April.

Green Day Sets Course for Phoenix August 30

Grammy winner and chart topper Green Day hits the road again following a successful European tour which included stops at Germany and England, to name a few.

This summer, they will be performing in 14 cities across the US and a stop in Toronto, together with rock band AFI to support Green Day’s current release “21st Century Breakdown” which took home a Grammy award in January as Best Rock Album.

Towards the end of their month-long North American tour which kicks off on August 3, they will be performing at Phoenix’s Cricket Wireless Pavilion on August 30, Monday at 7 PM. Tickets for the show will go on sale on April 3, Saturday at 10 AM MST. The earliest presale tickets will be available through the Green Day fan club on March 30, Tuesday at 12 PM. Tickets are priced from $20 to $35 for the general admission section. The upper level tickets are priced from $35 to $85.

Green Day’s “21st Century Breakdown” features the hit single “21 Guns” which peaked at no.22 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. The song also earned the band a couple of this year’s Grammy nominations for Best Rock Performance by a Duo/Group with Vocals and Best Rock Song.

Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum Bring Kick to Cricket Wireless June 3

Tim McGraw is tackling an ambitious 58-city tour which will consume much of 2010 and he has marked Thursday, June 3 at 7pm as his night to play the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Phoenix. He has signed on the latest country sensation Lady Antebellum to provide opening support for the tour. McGraw will be touring in support of his latest album “Southern Voice” which has spawned two singles to date (“It’s a Business Doing Pleasure with You” and “Southern Voice”). Tickets go onsale to the general public via Ticketmaster on Friday, April 2 at 10am. Members of the Tim McGraw fan club can get advanced tickets on Tuesday, March 30 at 10am and there will also be a LiveNation presale on Thursday, April 1 at 10am. Ticket prices run from $69.75 to $29.25 for reserved seating in the pavilion area as well as $29.25 for general admission lawn seating.

Kings of Leon Rocks Cricket Wireless on July 10

Rock acts Kings of Leon has just unveiled the details of their forthcoming summer tour that will have the band crisscrossing between the east and west coasts, with a few stops in Canada and a June 30 show in London that is worth mentioning, as well.

The tour will kick off on June 5 in Atlantic City, NJ and will come to a close after four months with a September 23 show in Dallas, TX. Fans of the band in Phoenix can rock with them live as they perform at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion on July 10, Saturday at 7:30 PM. Other rock acts Built to Spill and Features will also be appearing as support acts.

Tickets go on sale to the public on March 20, Saturday at 12 PM MST via Ticketmaster.

Citi cardholders will have exclusive access to advance tickets on March 19, Friday at 10 AM MST. Tickets go from $36.50 for general admission lawn areas to $56.50 for reserved and premium seats.

Kings of Leon’s most recent studio release is 2008’s “Only by the Night” which is their fourth record and spawned the hits “Use Somebody”, “Revelry” and “Sex on Fire”.

Justin Bieber Comes to Jobing.com Arena July 25

Justin Bieber just released his first full length studio album “My World 2.0” on March 23. He is now prepping for a 43-city tour which will entail stops at various US and Canadian cities from June to September.

He will be dropping by Glendale, AZ to perform tracks from his new album and previous tracks from his previous EP “My World”, as well. See him perform live at the Jobing.com Arena, with Sean Kingston as special guest, on Sunday, July 25 at 7 PM.

Tickets will be on sale to the general public on March 27, Saturday at 10 AM MST through Ticketmaster. An internet presale will be held on March 18, Thursday at 10 AM MST for early access to tickets. VIP packages will be available on the date the tickets go on sale and on the internet presale event, as well. Tickets are priced at $29.50, $39.50 and $49.50.

“My World 2.0” features 10 new songs featuring the carrier single “Baby” with Ludacris, “Never Let You Go” and “U Smile”. Its predecessor, the nine-track EP “My World” sold more than 176,000 copies during its first of week of release and held the sixth spot on Billboard’s Hot 200 Albums chart.

Iron Maiden Bring the Metal to Cricket Wireless on June 17

Metal aficionados Iron Maiden have just exited the studio to wrap their upcoming album “The Final Frontier,” and the band is set to take on North America. Iron Maiden will be landing in Phoenix’s Cricket Wireless Pavilion on June 17 at 7:30pm. For full tour information, visit Iron Maiden Tour. Prog-metal group Dream Theater will provide opening support for Iron Maiden.

Tickets go onsale to the general public through Ticketmaster.com on Saturday, March 20 at 10am. There are two presales for opportunities to score advanced tickets. On Wednesday, March 17 at 10am, there is a fan club presale followed by a presale for Citi cardmembers on Thursday, March18 at 10am. Ticket prices will run from $95 to $20. Be aware that some of the seating for this show is paperless tickets meaning you’ll need to provide your ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets to enter the venue. It can be a major inconvenience if you are meeting part of your party at the Crick so just plan accordingly.

Glee Live! Jumps to Dodge Theatre Stage May 15-16

Fox’s newest sensation “Glee” is jumping off the screen and onto the stage. The cast of Glee will be doing eleven shows in four cities and one of the lucky ones is none other than Phoenix. They will be taking over the Dodge Theatre on Saturday, May 16 at 8pm and Sunday, May 17 at 11:30am. All your favorite New Directions members will be belting out your favorite hits from “Sweet Caroline” to “Don’t Stop Believing.” None other than Glee creator Ryan Murphy will assembling the set list for the concert.

Tickets will go onsale to the general public via Ticketmaster on Friday, March 26 at 10am. If you have an American Express card, you are in luck. Conan O’Brien Yuks It Up at Dodge Theatre on April 30

Conan O’Brien may have exited the Tonight Show in salicious fashion, but he isn’t leaving his fans hanging. After a few weeks of much needed R&R, Coco will be heading out on tour to bring his comedy act to the masses. He’ll be stopping by Phoenix’s Dodge Theatre on Friday, April 30, at 8pm. Norah Jones Jazzes Up Dodge Theatre April 25

Jazz chanteuse Norah Jones recently released her latest album “The Fall,” and is fueling the tour bus to head out on a 36-city US concert tour this summer. Jones will be stopping in Atlanta on Sunday, April 25 at 7:30pm at the Dodge Theatre. Sarah Jaffee is due to open the show. Norah Jones’ latest effort “The Fall” seems to abandon her jazz-pop persona and infuses more rock sensibilities into her sound.

Tickets go onsale to the general public via LiveNation on Friday, March 12 at 10am. There will be an Internet presale held on Wednesday, March 10 at 10am for those looking to score advanced seats. Sugarland Comes to Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre May 2

Country music superstars Sugarland is busy tackling mainly US cities for the summer leg of their “Incredible Machine Tour” which was launched on April 23. They will be opening up the May leg of the said tour with a show in Bakersfield, CA on May 1. After which they will be heading to Phoenix for a one-nighter before heading to Idaho on the 6th.

The duo will be performing in Phoenix’s Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre on May 2, Sunday at 7:30 PM, together with Julianne Hough and Vonda Shepard as special guests.

Tickets for the event will be available to the public on March 13, Saturday at 10 AM through Live Nation. A presale event will be held by Sugarland’s fan club on March 9, Tuesday at 10 AM, both for the concert tickets and VIP packages.

Tickets are priced at $30.50 for general admission and $49.75 to $30.50 for the reserved seating areas.

Before embarking on the extensive spring-summer “Incredible Machine Tour” this year, Sugarland was busy recording new material for their forthcoming studio album which they are planning to release this summer. No official words yet as to the title of the said album or its exact release date.
