Yo Gabba Gabba Entertains Phoenix December 4-5

If you enjoyed the “Yo Gabba Gabba!” show while it was airing over at Nick Jr. then you will surely enjoy seeing the whole gang – DJ Lance Rock, Muno, Foofa, Toedee, Plex and Brobee – and their colorful antics when they perform live in Phoenix in the fall.

With the recent successes of their live performances at The White House and at the Coachella Festival, they are now making waves in the amphitheatre and arena scene as they bring their famous Nick Jr. show on the road for the “Yo Gabba Gabba!: There’s a Party in My City” North American tour.

They can be seen performing live at The Dodge Theatre in Phoenix on the weekend of December 4 and 5, with two show times for each day, one at 2 PM and a second performance at 5 PM.

Tickets will be available to the public on June 7, Monday at 10 AM MST through Ticketmaster. A presale event will be held by Live Nation on June 2, Wednesday at 10 AM MST. The Gabba Party Package, which includes a premium ticket and a meet-and-greet with the whole cast will be initially available to AMEX cardholders on May 20, Thursday at 10 AM MST then to the general public on May 26, Wednesday at 10 AM MST.

Tickets are priced at $33 for all levels. Children who are one year of age and older will require a ticket.

Roger Waters Performs at US Airways November 27

Brace yourself Phoenix as Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters will be performing only for one night as part of “The Wall” tour which commemorates the album’s 30th year since its release in 1979. Waters will perform hits from the said album – all 26 of it – which has only been done for 31 times, most often during Pink Floyd’s 1980-1981 tour.

Waters will be performing at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at exactly 8 PM since there will be opening acts or other performers.

Tickets go on sale on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 10 AM MST. Pre-sale tickets are available for AMEX cardholders from Monday, May 3, starting at 10AM, until Sunday, May 9, which ends at 10 PM. iTunes is also offering pre-sale tickets from Thursday, May 6 starting at 10 AM until Sunday, May 9, which ends at 10 PM. Robert Plant & Band of Joy in Phoenix July 20

Led Zeppelin’s former front man, Robert Plant, along with his group, The Band of Joy, will be performing at the Dodge Theater in Phoenix, AZ on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 7:30 PM. Plant is said to perform songs from his new album, which is still untitled at the moment but will be released in the summer.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on the 9th of April 2010 (Friday). Presale or early bird tickets are not available for the said event. Ticket prices are from $36.50 to $86.50.

Korn, Rob Zombie Headline Mayhem Festival in Phoenix

This year’s Mayhem Festival, sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink, will be bringing in Korn and Rob Zombie to lead the pack of rock bands set out to perform in the said event, which will kick off in July 10.

Korn will be heading to Phoenix, AZ for its fourth stop for the event on July 16, 2010 when they perform at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion at 2:15 PM. Tickets go on sale on April 30, 2010 at 10 AM through Ticketmaster. Presale tickets are available to Citi cardholders only from April 28, 10 AM until April 29, 10 PM. Non-cardholders can avail of other presale tickets via Radio and Live Nation only on April 29, from 10 AM to 10 PM. Ticket prices are from $25 to $69.

Korn will be promoting their upcoming studio release “Korn III” Remember Who You Are” during the festival. Rob Zombie will also be headlining the event who will also be promoting his current release from his new label (Roadrunner Records), “Hellbilly Deluxe 2”.

Carrie Underwood Plays Jobing.com Arena October 3

Carrie Underwood is touring on the release of her latest album “Play On,” and is currently in the midst of a 45-city tour that has unfortunately omitted Phoenix from its itinerary. Well consider the Valley of the Sun missed no longer. This morning, Underwood unveiled additional plans that will carry her tour through December and hit an extra 41-cities including Phoenix’s Jobing.com Arena on Sunday, October 3 at 7:30pm. Tickets go onsale to the general public for Carrie’s Jobing.com Arena date via Ticketmaster on Saturday, April 24 at 10am. There will be a fan club presale on Wednesday, April 21 at 10am as well as another undefined presale on Friday, April 23 at 10am. Ticket prices range from $50.20 to $30.20.

Rihanna Teams with Ke$ha at Cricket Wireless July 22

Rihanna has thankfully moved on from the swinging fists of Chris Brown and is promoting her new album “Rated R” by hitting the road for a 25-city concert tour. Rihanna will be hitting Phoenix’s Cricket Wireless Pavilion on Thursday, July 22 at 7:30pm. A full listing of upcoming dates can be viewed at Rihanna Tour. Rihanna has recruited pop sensation Ke$ha to provide opening support for the upcoming tour although previously announced Nicki Minaj will not be joining the tour due to recording obligations.

Tickets for Rihanna’s Phoenix show go onsale via Ticketmaster on Saturday, April 17 at 10pm. There are four presale opportunities including a fan club presale and a VIP presale on Tuesday, April 13 at 10am, Citi Cardmembers presale is on Wednesday, April 14 at 12pm and finally there is a LiveNation presale on Friday, April 16 at 10am.

John Mayer Brings “Battle Studies” to Phoenix August 18

Grammy award winning singer and songwriter John Mayer has just unveiled a more extensive schedule for his upcoming summer tour which will set off in Charlotte, NC on July 16. The tour is aimed in promoting his most recent studio release, “Battle Studies” which was dropped last fall.

The John Mayer Tour will be hitting Phoenix, AZ as part of his two-month road show all across North America. See him perform live at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion on August 18, Wednesday at 7 PM. The public can get their hands on the show’s tickets starting on April 17, Saturday at 10 AM MST through Ticketmaster. Access to early tickets will be provided by John Mayer’s official website (April 12, Monday, 10 AM MST), Citi (exclusive to their cardholders, April 14, Wednesday, 10 AM MST) and Live Nation (April 16, Friday, 10 AM MST). Tickets are priced from $36 to $69.50.

Battle Studies” is Mayer’s first album since he released “Continuum” in 2006. “Studies” topped the Billboard 200 when it was released last fall and has spawned the hit track “Half of My Heart” which has Taylor Swift singing in the background along with Mayer.

Lady Gaga Dazzles the US Airways Center July 31

Lady Gaga’s “The Monster Ball” will have its final stop for its July leg in Phoenix, AZ on July 31, 2010, Saturday. She is scheduled to perform at the US Airways Center at 8 PM.

Ticket prices for this event are from $49.50 to $175. Tickets will go on sale to the public on April 10, 2010 at 10 AM. Presale tickets will be available to Virgin Mobile subscribers and Citi Cardholders on April 6 at 10 AM. Downtown Live is also offering presale tickets on April 6 at 12 PM. “The Monster Ball”” tour is set to start with a show in Montreal on July 28. It will travel all across the US and Canada from June to September of this year, and again from February to April of 2011. Jack Johnson Surfs into Cricket Wireless October 10

Jack Johnson is abandoning his tropical Hawaiian paradise for the summer to head out on a 32-city tour across North America. He’ll be touching down in Atlanta’s Lakewood Amphitheatre for a night of breezy fun on Sunday, October 10 at 7pm. Johnson is touring in support of his forthcoming album “To the Sea” which makes its debut in stores June 1. Tickets are set to go onsale to the general public on Saturday, April 10 at 10am through Ticketmaster. There are two opportunities to snag advanced tickets. Jack only graces us with his presence every couple of summers so be sure to catch him before the next drought sets in.

Green Day Sets Course for Phoenix August 30

Grammy winner and chart topper Green Day hits the road again following a successful European tour which included stops at Germany and England, to name a few.

This summer, they will be performing in 14 cities across the US and a stop in Toronto, together with rock band AFI to support Green Day’s current release “21st Century Breakdown” which took home a Grammy award in January as Best Rock Album.

Towards the end of their month-long North American tour which kicks off on August 3, they will be performing at Phoenix’s Cricket Wireless Pavilion on August 30, Monday at 7 PM. Tickets for the show will go on sale on April 3, Saturday at 10 AM MST. The earliest presale tickets will be available through the Green Day fan club on March 30, Tuesday at 12 PM. Tickets are priced from $20 to $35 for the general admission section. The upper level tickets are priced from $35 to $85.

Green Day’s “21st Century Breakdown” features the hit single “21 Guns” which peaked at no.22 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. The song also earned the band a couple of this year’s Grammy nominations for Best Rock Performance by a Duo/Group with Vocals and Best Rock Song.
